Tuomas Metsberg is a Finnish roots and country guitarist and a producer mostly recognized for his contributions to the lively country music scene in Finland.

Tuomas is a bandleader in the eight-piece ensemble Luxury Liner and authentic Honky-Tonk group Tuomas Metsberg & His Strangers. Tuomas also plays with many notable artists and is a member in several different bands, such as Jussi & The Boys, Uncle John Band, Emilia Sisco And The Northern Lights, Janne Kaunisto & Eilistä Vain, Freud, Marx, Engels & Jung tribute band, Vesa Haaja Soittajineen and Amy Winehouse Tribute Band.

In addition to working with Finnish artists Tuomas has also toured with notable international artist such as grammy award winner Redd Volkaert (USA/ CAN), “An American treasure” Jim Campilongo (USA), Dallas Wayne (USA) and grammy award winner Ted Russell Kamp (USA) to name a few.

Tuomas hosts three clubs in Helsinki: Roots Tuesday at Storyville, Sunday Night Music Club at Hard Rock House and Honky Tonk Wednesday at Bar Mendocino. Each of these clubs have had well-known guest artist like J.Karjalainen, Olavi Uusivirta, Jonna Tervomaa, Johanna Försti, Sami Pitkämö, Anna Puu, Anssi Kela, Tuure Kilpeläinen, Jiri Nikkinen, Johanna Iivanainen, Mika Kuokkanen, Ninni Poijärvi, Ina Forsman and Charlotta Kerbs.

Tuomas has been the main organizer of the annual Helsinki Country Festival for the past seven years. In addition he has organized several special events and concerts over the years, such as the memorial concerts for Glen Campbell, Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, Townes Van Zandt, The Highwaymen and Dusty Springfield. Furthermore, Tuomas has worked as a bandleader in tribute concerts for Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Aikka Hakala, Pekka Myllykoski, and Mikko Saarela.

Tuomas has produced all Luxury Liner and Johnny B.D. and The Gasoline Guy’s records. As well as the latest Jussi & The Boys record “Unioninkatu 45” (record of the year by local radios, 2018) and Matti Esko & Luxury Liner record “Tänä iltana Kallio“.
